About Hope Grows Garden

There is something magical about a garden…

Someone once said that “the garden is a love song, a duet between a human being and Mother Nature.” How true… And it is also a place overflowing with hope and promise. At least, that is what this garden has been for me. This little spot was my therapy, a path to healing during one of the darkest times in my life, and it is where I felt inspired to build a beautiful little place to share with others.

Hope, peace and harmony…

Miracles are on display everywhere you look — not the least of which, here. To plant a seed in the ground, fully expecting — and then watching! — it transform into something incredible that is both beautiful and edible is a miraculous sight to be seen. There are many who know what I am talking about, and if you don’t, reach out to join one of our gardening days and experience one of God’s miracles for yourself.

We host a garden club for Hope Kids here, and Girl Scouts come to play in the dirt and try to do good things for others. Soon we will be partnering with Harvest Compassion Center to deliver free organic produce to those who need it, and In my heart, I know there are others out there that need what this garden offers too. I feel compelled to share this place…to offer it up to the weary in spirit, and anybody else who could experience any sort of healing from fresh organic produce, from putting their hands in the soil and connecting with this beautiful gift God gave us.                                                    — Kim K.
